QAU Members

Based on article 215 of Law 4957 / 21.07.2022, QAU (MODIP) is internally structured by:

a) the Quality Assurance Committee and

b) the Quality Assurance Service.

The Quality Assurance Committee is established by the decision of the Senate and consists of:

a) the Rector or the competent Vice-Rector of the H.E.I.

b) five (5) members of the Teaching Research Staff (D.E.P.) of the Institution with the rank of Professor or Associate Professor

c) one (1) representative from each category of members of Laboratory Teaching Staff (E.DI.P.), Special Educational Staff (E.E.P.) and Special Technical Laboratory Staff (E.T.E.P.) of the H.E.I.

d) one (1) representative of undergraduate students

e) one (1) representative of postgraduate students and PhD candidates and 

f) one (1) representative from the Visiting Professors, appointed lecturers, Visiting Researchers and Contract Researchers employed at the H.E.I.

The term of office of the Commission is five years.

The representatives of cases d) to f) are nominated on an annual basis and have the right to vote on matters related to their status. The Head of the MO.DI.P. and the Executive Director of the H.E.I. participate in the meetings of the Committee without the right to vote.

The Quality Assurance Service is staffed with administrative staff of the H.E.I. and it is headed by an employee of the H.E.I., of speciality or branch, specified in the Organization of the H.E.I.

Synthesis of MO.DI.P. of the Technical University of Crete

Q.A.U. (MO.DI.P.) of the Technical University of Crete was reconstituted with the 2238 /26.02.2024 3^rd Deed of Establishment of the MODIP Quality Assurance Committee ( (ΑΔΑ: Ψ0ΒΣ469Β6Ν-ΜΣΓ) of the Technical University of Crete and consists of:

Mrs Andreani Lyroni, a permanent employee of the Institution, is appointed as Secretary of QAU (MO.DI.P).

The term of office of the Members of D.E.P. and the Representatives of E.D.I.P., E.T.E.P. and E.E.P. of the Quality Assurance Committee (cases 1 to 9) is for five years, adjusted to the respective academic years, therefore their term of office is set until 31.08.2027. The representatives of cases 10 to 12 of the Quality Assurance Committee are elected on an annual basis, with appropriate adjustment to the respective academic years.
